Buyers have flocked to SPG Land’s $1.5 billion Paradiso Place as the project begins to take shape as part of a dramatic transformation of the Surfers North precinct.

At a special briefing in the project’s sales display this week, buyers and proaspective buyers were given a detailed insight into how Paradiso Place is playing a major in reshaping an entire city block.

Paradiso Place is now well under construction and will bring residential, retail, hospitality, wellness and leisure together at a scale unmatched on the Gold Coast. The project will be the centrepiece of a massive transformation of the last major development precinct on the Gold Coast known as Surfers North.

“We’re lifting the standard of apartment living on the Gold Coast and creating a village at a scale unmatched in Australia’s lifestyle capital,” says sales director Brad McMahon who presented to buyers at a special event onsite on Wednesday night.

“The project will create a new definition to how residents can live, work, dine, socialise and unwind within an integrated beachside environment just 100 metres from the beach.

“Paradiso Place is about creating a village where residents won’t even need to leave. It’s really next generation living, where everything you need is literally under one roof. The Gold Coast’s pristine beaches almost become an afterthought, if that’s at all possible.”

Spanning 1.15 hectares, Paradiso Place will deliver hundreds of residences across three towers, connected by an expansive network of podiums and shared spaces incorporating retail, hospitality, wellness, leisure and workspaces.

The scale of the project allows Paradiso Place to bring together many of the elements traditionally spread across an entire urban precinct, from everyday retail and dining to recreation, wellness, hospitality and workspaces, within a single residential destination.

Designed around the way people live today, the development is intended to maximise next-generation living standards by giving residents greater choice, convenience and access to lifestyle experiences without compromising the benefits of its beachside location.

Mr McMahon said the scale of Paradiso Place had allowed the company to rethink what residents could expect from a large-scale apartment development.

“The scale of the project has allowed us to think differently about how people live and what they need from their home,” he says.

“Rather than simply providing an apartment with a collection of amenities, we’ve created an integrated environment where residents can live, work, exercise, dine, entertain and connect without needing to leave the precinct.

“And importantly, they can do all of that while being just 100 metres from the beach.”

At the centre of Paradiso Place is an expansive podium level dedicated to wellness, recreation and social connection, anchored by a resort-style pool and resort style bar for guests.

Residents will also have access to some of the most sought after wellness facilities on the Gold Coast, including lap pool, sauna, cold plunge, steam rooms, gym and yogo room and wellness deck that enjoys stunning beach views. All are designed to support daily routines, alongside more private spaces for relaxation and social connection.

The ground floor will introduce a vibrant retail and dining precinct featuring boutique retail, a gourmet market and signature dining experiences designed to provide everyday convenience while activating the streetscape.

A landscaped garden plaza and retail laneway will create a walkable, village-style environment, bringing together residents, locals and visitors and adding another layer to the development’s city-within-a-city experience.

Mr McMahon said the retail and dining offering would play an important role in creating a genuine sense of place within Paradiso Place.

“Retail and hospitality are critical to the city within a city concept – making a place feel like a destination rather than simply a collection of buildings,” he said.

“We want Paradiso Place to have its own energy and rhythm, where residents can step outside their apartment and have access to the experiences and conveniences they would normally associate with a city centre.”

Elevated above the podium, Level 16 will be a full floor of resident-only amenities including a wine room, residents lounge and library, co-working and board-room facilities. There will also be also a chefs kitchen and dining space and lounge on the podium level for entertaining family and guests. These spaces are designed for productivity and connection, with co-working spaces, private meeting rooms and a coffee emporium offering sweeping views across the Gold Coast skyline.

The space has been designed to respond to evolving work patterns, allowing residents to work remotely, hold meetings or connect with others without leaving the development.

Complementing the amenity offering is a strong focus on hospitality-led experiences, with food and beverage offerings integrated throughout the precinct.

Mr McMahon said the scale of Paradiso Place had enabled SPG Land to deliver an amenity mix typically associated with high-end hotels and larger urban precincts.

“The size of the site has allowed us to think beyond the traditional apartment development,” he said.

“We’ve been able to integrate a level of amenity that is rarely delivered within a single residential project, while still maintaining a sense of community and privacy for residents.

“That’s what makes the city-within-a-city concept so compelling. You have the convenience and choice of a much larger urban environment, but everything is connected and designed around the way residents actually want to live.”

The project’s scale and integrated amenity form part of SPG Land’s broader approach to delivering value-driven luxury, following the recent announcement that apartments are priced up to 20 per cent below comparable new developments across the Gold Coast market.

Prices start from $905,000

Mr McMahon said the proposition was designed to maximise the lifestyle and value buyers could achieve from apartment ownership.

“With Paradiso Place, we’re combining accessibility with a highly considered lifestyle offering,” he said.

“It’s about maximising the standard of living residents can experience – not just the size or finish of their apartment, but everything that surrounds it.

“For us, next-generation living is about having more choice, more convenience and more experiences on your doorstep.

“And when you combine that with the beach just 100 metres away, it creates a proposition that is very difficult to replicate.”

Construction is currently underway at Paradiso Place by SPG Built, with strong interest coming from both owner-occupiers and investors seeking a lifestyle-led residential product in a Gold Coast market defined by strong price growth and constrained supply.
